Most of the data to be exploited in the frame of AGACC-II are of spectroscopic nature.

Their analysis obviously requires reference information, measured in the laboratory, and usually gathered in databases (for example HITRAN (Rothman et al., 2009)).

In the AGACC-II project, either dedicated laboratory measurements will be performed to provide improved spectroscopic data to the FTIR retrieval teams where deficiencies in the existing databases have been identified, or the FTIR retrieval teams will be guided by the expertise of ULB towards the best spectroscopic data available.
